Welcome 2025!

Posted on

This past week has come and gone in a blink! Teachers and students were so excited to be back together teaching, learning, playing and reconnecting. Our primary focus was getting back into our positive routines that we had established prior to the Christmas break and in some instances the opportunity to have a reset or a restart to better habits for the second half of the year. Based on what I saw the last couple of days, we have settled and are working towards a successful 2025!

As always, life at Banded Peak continues to be busy. The highlight of this upcoming week will be the two different parent meetings on Wednesday evening. First, at 6pm, parents of grade 8 students are encouraged to join the Grade 8 Farewell meeting virtually on Teams to find out about this year's event. Meeting ID: 233 386 765 28. Passcode 9kq6vf3i. Following this meeting, January's School Council Meeting begins at 6:30pm. This month the grade 3 and 4 team will be presenting to the group about all the cool things going on in gr 3/4 and how the funding supplied from the Council supports their programming. Those families interested in attending this meeting virtually can do so by Zoom: https://us05web.zoom.us/j/82615383862?pwd=uE9homTeqoLgqrZC92iDuaUk29JwiI.1. Meeting ID: 826 1538 3862 Passcode: BandedPeak. As always, free child minding is provided and your attendance is valued.

On Friday, our undefeated (4-0) Jr A boys basketball team will play RancheView in a exhibition rematch of last year's Divisional final. I am proud to say that the boys have been playing really well and we look forward to the challenge this rematch will provide. Thank you to our community coach, Seth Anderson, for his commitment to our team. His passion and leadership has the team building skill, working together and showcasing their athleticism. They are entertaining to watch and if you are able, I would encourage you to come out and enjoy a game. Go Grizzlies!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone,

Mrs Moore
